Local storage and cookies

Summary

WolfPass uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party tracking tools. It stores on your device only the minimum needed for the service to work and to remember your preferences. That is why we do not ask you to accept a cookie banner.

Website

wolfpass.installation: a random identifier for this browser; the server uses it to recognize your devices and protect your account. It is required to sign in.

lang: the language you chose.

symbolSet: the allowed symbols you chose for the password generator.

Your decrypted vault and keys live only in the tab's memory and are lost when you close or reload it.

Browser extension

It stores in the browser an installation identifier, your language, the lock mode, the generator symbols, the proxy settings if you use one, the reason your last session closed, and the record that you accepted the privacy notice.

Your session and the encrypted copy of your vault are kept only in browser memory (storage.session) and are erased when the browser closes or the extension locks.

Android app

It stores your preferences, the installation identifier and an encrypted copy of your vault, protected with a key from the phone's secure keystore.

How to remove it

Sign out and clear the site's data from your browser settings, or uninstall the extension or the app.
